My professional history is rooted in design. Beginning with a BFA in Design, I spent the first part of my career in Graphic Design. Later, I chose to teach while developing my studio work, which led to a decision to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Visual Studies. At present, I teach various Studio Art courses in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. I strive to produce an ongoing variety of contemporary abstract works.... have fun, experiment, play and enjoy the creative process!

SUZY SLAGLE PFEIFER

A graduate of Indianna State University, I am a self taught artist specializing in the use of recylcled and found items to create mixed media art, collage, and painting.

LEARN ABOUT ART THROUGH MIXED MEDIA AND COLLAGE!

At Blue Door, we have developed a series of fun workshops that explore various art techniques and core concepts that will develop your confidence as an artist. Whether you are exploring for the first time, or want to exerience new methods... you will be able to relax, enjoy & learn!

CREATE WITH COLLAGE with Suzy

Jumpstart your creativity. Join us for a beginning collage workshop. We will make four small collages which can be printed for note cards and two larger collages which can be used for cards or framed.

No experience necessary. $40 All supplies included!

Wednesday, September 9th. 9:30 – 11:30 am

MIXED MEDIA MAGIC with Jane

Join us for a relaxing morning of exploring the elements of collage and mixed media. We’ll learn basic collage techniques, add your own patterns and a splash of color! You will have fun while learn about design & color theory. You will leave with a framable piece of art!

No experience necessary. $40 All supplies included!

Learn to draw what you see!!!

A flexible workshop getting comfortable with the basics of sketching and drawing. From object studies to landscapes, sketches to drawings, learn to enjoy the process of recording what you see. Various drawing tools & styles will be explored.

Always presented in a fun, non-intimidating way!

THURSDAY SEPT. 10, OCT. 8, NOV, 12 ~ 1-3 PM

COLD WAX INTENSIVE with Jane
