My professional history is rooted in design. Beginning with a BFA in Design, I spent the first part of my career in Graphic Design. Later, I chose to teach while developing my studio work, which led to a decision to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Visual Studies. At present, I teach various Studio Art courses in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. I strive to produce an ongoing variety of contemporary abstract works.... have fun, experiment, play and enjoy the creative process!

SUZY SLAGLE PFEIFER

A graduate of Indianna State Univercity, I am a self taught artist specializing in the use of recylcled and found items to create mixed media art, collage, and painting.

At Blue Door, we have developed a series of fun workshops that explore various art techniques and core concepts that will develop your confidence as an artsit. Whether you are exploring for the first time, or want to exerience new methods... you will be able to relax, enjoy & learn!

MIXED MEDIA #1

Jumpstart your creativity! Join us for a relaxing morning of exploring the elements of collage and mixed media. We’ll learn basic collage techniques while creating small black-and-white “masterpieces” of our own. No experience necessary. Supplies included. $40.00

We will also be offering....

COLD WAX INTENSIVE - A One Session Event

An morning to expand your Cold Wax painting techniques. This workshop is for those already familiar with the process. Techniques will be reviewed, support/coaching will be provided. Bring your own supplies, build on unfinished pieces, or start new ones. An opportunity to collaborate and receive inspiration!

DRAWING SERIES - Getting comfortable!

Learn to draw what you see!!!

A flexible workshop getting comfortable with the basics of sketching and drawing. From object studies to landscapes, sketches to drawings, learn to enjoy the process of recording what you see. Various drawing tools & styles will be explored.

Always presented in a fun, non-intimidating way!

THURSDAY JUNE 11, JULY 16, AUGUST 20 1-3 PM

$25/ ea session, bring your own sketchbook, pencils, eraser!
